Europe 2015: Sponsorship
To make this experience possible for our youth we need a LOT of help! We are reaching out to business, community groups, and our community to sponsor our youth on this life changing adventure. Scouting has a firm commitment that no youth is left behind for financial reasons, so we are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to get these kids to Europe!
Scouts Canada is a registered charity, and all donations made by cheque of $40 or more will receive an official tax receipt.
We Work Hard for Our Donations!
Scouts are not looking for a hand-out, we are looking for the opportunity to work for our donations. As much as we appreciate donations, we also really appreciate the opportunity to provide a service in exachange for the donation. Our adult and youth members are insured by Scouts Canada for service projects, and the onus would NOT be on your business/organization in the unlikely event of injury. We can clean parking lots, shovel snow, rake leaves, clean windows, chop wood, complete light-moderate manual labour, data-processing, painting, customer service, trail maintenance, trash clean-up, web design, photography, graphic design and really anything else you can think of. You will not only be providing a donation to help the youth experience a trip that will literally change the way they look at their place in the world but you will also be providing these same youth with real work experience and life skills.
Sponsor a Stop on our Journey Through History
We are offering the unique opportunity for sponsors to finance a specific portion of our journey. In return for your donation, we will take a picture (with your logo if you prefer) of our Scouts in the loction you sponsored, and we will also record a video of our youth thanking you by name from the location. In addition, you will be featured in our "Sponsor Hall of Fame", on our interactive map, and we will publically thank you through our social media channels encouraging the parents of our 100+ youth members to do the same. For Gold and Platinum sponsors we would also be happy to bring a flag or banner with us from your business/organization and proudly display it while at your stop.
All sponsors of our journey will also receive a certificate of thanks signed by all the youth who will be attending the trip.
As always, our adult and youth members would be more than happy to provide a service for any donation given!

Sponsor a Portion of our 13,500km Journey Through History
In addition to specific locations, we will also be encouraging sponsorship for each kilometer of our 13,500km journey through France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
For donations of $50 or more, you will receive:
- Listing on our Sponsor Hall of Fame (http://gfwscouting.ca/europe_halloffame.php)
- When we pass your kilometers on our journey, we post a thank you message on Social Media
- A commemorative Expedition Europe crest
- A charitable tax receipt (providing you pay by cheque)
For donations of $150 or more, you will also receive:
- When we pass your kilometers on our journey, we post a thank you video on Social Media
- A framed “Thank You” certificate
signed by all the youth that benifited from your sponsorship!
As always, our members would be more than happy to provide a service for any donation given
Each kilometer will be offered for a $10 donation.
