Jamboree Fundraising Update Our Equipment Needs Walk to Alberta Update
Our Walk to Alberta
The 4th Grand Falls Scout Troop is fund-raising in an effort to participate in Canadian Jamboree 2013. From July 6 to the 13th, Scouts from this area will be given the opportunity to travel to Sylvan Lake, Alberta to share in friendship and adventure, as well as personal growth and development in this once in a lifetime experience. Please sponsor a Scout as they attempt to “Walk to Alberta”. Between them, the scouts will walk the entire distance to Sylvan Lake Alberta, travelling through 9 provinces (including Prince Edward Island) and passing various Canadian landmarks on their virtual journey. Between now and the end of June the Scouts together will travel a distance of 5,890 km, which is about 400 km each and averages about 12 km per week. Thank you for supporting our Scouts!
