cool attractions in Dublin including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dublinzoo.ie\/\">Dublin Zoo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aquazone.ie\/\">Aquazone<\/a>, the old <a href=\"http:\/\/kilmainhamgaolmuseum.ie\/\">Dublin jail<\/a> and the 5,000 year old\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newgrange.com\/\">Newgrange monument<\/a>; elsewhere in Ireland we looked at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cliffsofmoher.ie\/\">Cliffs of Moher<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blarneycastle.ie\/\">Blarney Castle &amp; Gardens<\/a> <em>(home of the Blarney Stone),\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ross_Castle\">Ross Castle<\/a>, and more!<\/p>\n<p>Moving to Northern Ireland there was a TONNE to do in Belfast especially if you enjoy the history of seacraft!\u00a0 From the <a href=\"https:\/\/titanicbelfast.com\/\">Titanic Museum<\/a>, to various ships turned into museums like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmrn.org.uk\/exhibitions-projects\/hms-caroline-belfast-tourist-attraction\">HMS Caroline<\/a> or the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nomadicbelfast.com\/\">Nomadic<\/a>.\u00a0 Elsewhere in Northern Ireland we have the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.giantscausewayofficialguide.com\/\">Giant&#8217;s Causeway<\/a>, and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmni.com\/our-museums\/ulster-american-folk-park\/Home.aspx\">Ulster American Folk Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gfwscouting.ca\/adventure\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Resized_20180107_204835001002.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-68 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/gfwscouting.ca\/adventure\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Resized_20180107_204835001002-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gfwscouting.ca\/adventure\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Resized_20180107_204835001002-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/gfwscouting.ca\/adventure\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Resized_20180107_204835001002-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/gfwscouting.ca\/adventure\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Resized_20180107_204835001002-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/gfwscouting.ca\/adventure\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Resized_20180107_204835001002.jpeg 1440w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Josie&#8217;s quest for fairies led us to an actual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cultureheritagetours.ie\/?pagid=fairies-fables-folklore\">muli-day fairy tour<\/a> which introduced even more great sights to see!<\/p>\n<p>Turns out transportation in Ireland shouldn&#8217;t be an issue as they have an excellent transit system like everywhere else in Europe.\u00a0 In order to make this a viable pre-trip, the team&#8217;s next task is to sort our some accomodation and food options while keeping the trip affordable.\u00a0 We are likely looking at 2 nights in Belfast <em>(or area)<\/em> and 2-4 nights in Dublin <em>(or area)<\/em>.\u00a0 Two nights if we decide to visit Brownsea Island in England before hopping over to Ireland, 4 nights in Dublin if we skip Brownsea Island.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to what the team comes up with!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So last Sunday Team Ireland got together to start planning an Ireland pre-trip in the days before our arrival at the Haarlem Jamborette.\u00a0 Thanks to Lex, Liam, Josie and Maiya we learned about some amazing adventure in both Ireland and Northern Ireland, so we decided to expand the scope of the trip to include time in Northern Ireland as well.\u00a0 Some of the incredible adventures in Ireland included a visit to the island featured in Star Wars 8 that Luke Skywalker calls home;
