flight, I think just about everyone had a nap. \u00a0Personally I only stayed awake long enough to find out that the coffee wasn&#8217;t free, lol! \u00a0The Paris airport was about as insane as Pearson, but we all managed to work our way through and eventually find our tour guide Carl. \u00a0It was pretty cool seeing the Scouts Canada sign at the Paris Airport! \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"648\" height=\"365\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nADRwOB82TY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Carl and our Bus driver Etienne (aka Steve) are both from Belgium. \u00a0They picked up a local Parisian guide in the shadow of the Arc du Triumph&#8230; wow, still can&#8217;t believe we were there!! \u00a0I won&#8217;t go into Paris too much as the pictures will tell a much better story, but suffice it to say it was incredible! \u00a0Not sure who was more excited, the Scouts or the Scouters, but everyone was excitedly shouting, gasping, and frantically snapping pictures in &#8220;HEY, WE&#8217;RE OBVIOUSLY TOURISTS AND LIKELY TOO POLITE TO TELL YOU TO GO AWAY&#8221; so the street vendors came a running! \u00a0There are now a great deal of replica Eiffel Towers on our the most incredible cities on the planet we said goodbye to our Parisian guide and began our trip to Caen (pronounced &#8220;con&#8221; by the way). &nbsp;Due to driving regulations our awesome bus driver had to stop at a rest station for a mandatory 45min break. &nbsp;The rest stop served as a reminder that we are still fish out of water, but together we figured out our Euros, found a bank machine, and even found William some milk-free frozen treats. &nbsp;The allergy situation is not nearly as dire as we expected; most labels that contain milk or nuts put it in bold in the ingredients list. &nbsp;I continued my quest for a decent cup of coffee&#8230; in vain&#8230; apparently coffee that is dispensed from a vending machine into a plastic cup is about as tasty as it sounds :S\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" that the coffee wasn&#8217;t free, lol! \u00a0The Paris airport was about as insane as Pearson, but we all managed to work our way through and eventually find our tour guide Carl. \u00a0It was pretty cool seeing the Scouts Canada sign at the Paris Airport! \u00a0 Carl and our Bus driver Etienne (aka Steve) are both from Belgium. \u00a0They picked up a local Parisian guide in the shadow of the Arc du Triumph&#8230; wow, still can&#8217;t believe we were there!! \u00a0I won&#8217;t go into Paris too much as the pictures will tell a much better story, but suffice it to say it was incredible! \u00a0Not sure who was more excited, the Scouts or the Scouters, but everyone was excitedly shouting, gasping, and frantically snapping pictures in every direction at once. \u00a0I&#8217;m sure between us we took well over a thousand!
