‘Twas the night before Europe
\nAnd all through the town,
\nAll the Scouters were panicking
\nNot one had laid down!<\/p>\n
All the bags were packed,
\nLeft in the church with care
\nIn hopes that nothing
\nWould be forgotten there<\/p>\n
The Scouts were all nestled
\nSnug in their beds
\nWith visions of the Eiffel tower
\nDancing in their heads<\/p>\n
The morning arrived
\nAll lovely and bright
\nNot a single Scouter
\nHad slept through the night!<\/p>\n
Down in the parking lot
\nWhile waiting for the bus
\nAll of a sudden from no where
\nThere rose such a fuss!<\/p>\n
“I don’t want to leave home!
\nI’ll miss you so bad!”
\nSaid one little Scout to
\nHis mom and his dad.<\/p>\n
“Don’t worry, you’ll go
\nAnd be happy!
\nNow get on that bus!
\nAnd make it snappy!”<\/p>\n
When everyone was loaded
\nWho boarded all bossy?
\nIt was Scouter Jason
\nHolding a coffee!<\/p>\n
He checked all the passports
\nAnd I.d. With a tick
\nAnd then nodded to the driver
\n“Close those doors, quick!”<\/p>\n
More rapid than eagles
\nIn those doors came
\nAnd he whistled and shouted
\nAnd called out by name<\/p>\n
“Now Dan! Now Gerry!
\nNow Lawrence and Amanda!
\nNow Tracey! Now Erica
\nAnd the amazing Rhonda!”<\/p>\n
His arms swung around
\nSpilling coffee with the gesture
\n“Let’s go! Step on the gas!
